Specialist Clinical Input When You Need It

At Quovus, our Case Consults provide flexible, professional support for participants, families, providers and multidisciplinary teams managing complex behavioural needs.

Case Consultations are designed to offer targeted clinical input where additional guidance, collaboration or specialist oversight is needed. Whether it's attending stakeholder meetings, reviewing complex behavioural concerns, or supporting Restrictive Practice (RP) approvals, our clinicians work alongside support teams to strengthen decision-making and improve participant outcomes.

What are Case Consults?

A Case Consult is a flexible clinical support service that provides expert advice, problem-solving and collaborative planning for behaviour support matters. These consultations can be used as needed and tailored to the participant's situation. Case Consults may involve:

  • Reviewing complex behaviours of concern
  • Supporting implementation of Behaviour Support Plans
  • Attending stakeholder meetings
  • Collaborating with allied health teams
  • Providing recommendations for care teams
  • Reviewing restrictive practices
  • Attending Restrictive Practice Panels
  • Supporting Interim and Comprehensive Plan approvals

This service allows providers and support teams to access specialised clinical insight when additional support is needed.

Flexible support when you need it

Behaviour support needs can change quickly, and sometimes additional clinical support is required outside of standard assessments and plans. Case Consults can be used for:

  • Immediate problem-solving
  • Stakeholder collaboration
  • Escalation of complex behaviours
  • Support during provider transitions
  • Restrictive Practice review and panel preparation
  • Crisis response planning
  • Reviewing support strategy effectiveness

Each consult can be scheduled individually based on need.

Restrictive Practice Panel support

At Quovus, clinician attendance at Restrictive Practice (RP) Panels is strongly recommended where restrictive practices are being reviewed, introduced or adjusted. Our clinicians can:

  • Prepare documentation using the Panel Checklist
  • Review current plan requirements
  • Attend panel meetings
  • Provide clinical reasoning and recommendations
  • Support approval processes
  • Ensure NDIS compliance and best-practice alignment

This helps providers navigate restrictive practice requirements with confidence and clarity.
