Behaviour Intervention Support Plan Review
At Quovus, our Behaviour Intervention Support Plan (BISP) Reviews ensure each participant's behaviour support plan remains current, practical and aligned with their changing needs.
A BISP Review may be completed every 3, 6 or 12 months, depending on the recommendations made by the clinician in the Comprehensive Plan, the complexity of the participant's needs, changes in providers, or significant changes in the participant's circumstances.

Review cycles
Review timing is determined clinically, not automatically:
- 3 months
- Where complexity, risk or recent change requires closer oversight.
- 6 months
- A common cycle where supports are established and stable.
- 12 months
- Where the plan is working consistently across settings.
Timing depends on clinician recommendations in the Comprehensive Plan, the complexity of the participant's needs, changes in providers, or significant changes in circumstances.
Our review process
We follow a structured and clinically informed process to ensure accuracy, collaboration and quality.
- 01
Access the most recent plan
We begin by reviewing the participant's most recent BISP from the Document Library to understand the existing strategies, recommendations and review requirements.
- 02
Contact the provider
Our team contacts the provider to confirm current concerns, changes in presentation, relevant updates and the scope of the review.
- 03
Review historical and current information
We review historical reports, current behavioural data, incident records, progress notes and other information related to the participant's presentation.
- 04
Observation and stakeholder interviews
Where required, we complete observations and interviews across identified settings, such as home, school, supported accommodation, community or workplace environments.
- 05
Travel and site-based assessment
Our practitioners may travel to the participant's relevant support settings to complete observations and gather meaningful contextual information.
- 06
Supervisor check-in for restrictive practices
Where restrictive practices are involved, we complete a clinical supervisor checkpoint to review compliance, necessity, risk and reduction planning.
- 07
Draft plan review
The updated plan is drafted and reviewed through Quovus' internal quality process, including:
- Supervisor review
- Editor review
- Provider and stakeholder review
- 08
Final plan delivery
The finalised BISP Review is sent to the provider and relevant stakeholders, then securely stored in the Document Library.
- 09
NDIS documentation and compliance
Where applicable, the final document is provided to administration for PRODA upload, supporting evidence is attached to the job, and the Restrictive Practice Survey is completed.
