Carer / Parent Capacity Assessment
A Carer/Parent Capacity Assessment uses an interview-style format generated to specifically understand a person's intent, capacity and current supports and frameworks for undertaking the care of an individual.
The assessment involves an interview and observation of the child being considered for care, and a report is compiled as part of this process.

Tools that are available
The interview may also involve assessment tools and screeners, including:
- Attachment style
- Developmental milestone checklist
- ACEs assessment
- Functional behavioural assessment
